Eric Trist was a psychologist, social scientist, and a leading figure in the field of organizational development. He was a founding member of the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London and spent many years in United States academia. This book delves into Trist's life to examine the evolution of his work and how he applied social science theory, knowledge, and methods to the organization of working life and its management. Richard Trahair outlines Trist's socio-technical theory of organization and how it applies to the turbulent environment that modern managers face.
In place of the traditional technology-driven bureaucracy of industry, Trist recommended that social science researchers help reorganize industries on socio-technical lines. Trist provided convincing evidence that organizations dominated by traditional attitudes were inefficient and unsatisfactory.

From an early age he took a huge interest in religion, spirituality and philosophy, so much so that by age 16, he was secretary of the London Buddhist Lodge, a group established by the Theosophist Society. Louis Jolyon West: Johnny on the Spot Mind Controller ...director of the Neuropsychiatric Institute and chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1969 to 1989.
Dr. West devoted four decades to study, writing and experimentation on dissociation, hypnosis, Communist mind control, hallucinogens, sensory deprivation and methods of social influence. He concluded that the methods used by destructive cults result in the creation of new identities and dissociative states. The same methods applied to experimental subjects under BLUEBIRD, ARTICHOKE and MKULTRA — also resulted in the creation of amnesia, new identities and dissociated states.
West also served as a director of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, organization founded by pedophile apologists that marginalizes victims of ritual abuse and smears their advocates. [See Nov. 1, 1994, FMSF newsletter, page 19, last name].
